Our publishing programme includes both Finnish and translated quality prose, in-depth non-fiction books on topical subjects, and books on architecture and cities.

The first Finnish work of fiction published by Avain, Elina Hirvonen's debut novel Että hän muistaisi saman (That he'd remember the same), was nominated for the prestigious Finlandia Prize in the autumn of 2005. The very first Avain publication, Avain tennikseen (A Key to Tennis), was awarded a commendation in the Sporting Book of the Year 2003 competition.
